The Newsletter

The number of men in the program is on the rise and so is the need for places like Set Free. We are very blessed to have such a loving family of friends in Ministries around us.

However, as we look at our surrounding cities and continue to see a large population of the suffering and homeless, we know the importance for the need to network and build bridges with others.

God is calling His lost sheep, cast-outs, rejected by the world. God says to help and we are here to answer that call!

Outreach has always been the Heartbeat of our Ministry. We are looking forward to  doing more, we have targeted Olympia and our ears are open to hear God's call elsewhere. We host a feed in Shelton on Thursday nights. We send teams to Aberdeen as often as possible. We are being sent to share the Good News. Those who will receive the Good News are offered a safe place to come in from the storm.

God has given us the desire to reach out to those who are looking for a "better way".  We share the One True Answer - Jesus!

Our focus is on Christ and to mentor the family of men in our program as they build a new relationship with God.  We teach that spiritual maturity is not how well we behave or how many good things we do, "But rather, how God's perspective of life has increasingly become our perspective of life. With past hurts and false belief systems Satan's strategy is to pervert reality and truth. Our perceptions and or bitterroot judgments, have become deceptions. We need to allow the Holy Spirit to transform our perspective to God's perspective.

We are Experiencing Foundational Growth as Pastor Michael Tallman and his staff; Administration Director, Debbie Tallman; Men's Asst. Director, Mark Fredenburg; Head Overseer, Daniel Parker; House Managers, Michael Barlow and Paul Foster; The Leadership Team and Anointed Teachers partner with God's guiding hand to work along side the men in God's Spiritual Hospital, Praise the Lord!

We now house close to forty five men, a full house is truly answered prayer and it is our continued prayer that this always be a House of Love and Servitude in Jesus Christ.

Many local churches have partnered with Set Free in supporting our needs, including churches in the Olympic Baptist Association. Its truly beautiful to see the balance that comes from that support.

In 2008 Abundant life Church Pastored by Mike Mueller, began teaching "Real Man Ministries" where all our leaders have been commissioned and many of our men. This opened the door to a more intimate friendship with our men and the people of Elma.

The family of First Baptist Church Montesano has truly embraced the family of Set Free. Pastor Randy Brown Pastored Vieux Carre Baptist Church in New Orleans French Quarter for five years, then two years in the mission fields of South Asia, before coming to Montesano.

Our Vision is that the whole Body of Christ partner resources and give our best to God's most Hurting Children.

Is the Lord asking you to be His hands and feet?  If so please give us a call and ask how you can be a part of the Body of Christ in Action here at Set Free!
